Indian red onion exporter to Bahrain: bulk supply to Khalifa Bin Salman Port
AL NOOR EXIM ships Nashik-selected Indian red onions to Bahrain importers. We handle all Indian export documentation; you arrange Bahrain import clearance. Freight is quoted weekly due to Hormuz rerouting.
The Strait of Hormuz remains closed to commercial cargo. There are no direct sailings to Bahrain. All shipments from Nhava Sheva discharge outside the Strait at Fujairah or Khor Fakkan (UAE), then continue via:
• Saudi land-bridge — truck convoy through King Fahd Causeway to KBSP (most reliable current option)
• Sharjah feeder — Hapag-Lloyd AGULF service, limited capacity
Freight carries Hormuz surcharges. All rates are quoted per booking, not fixed.

Frequently asked questions — Bahrain onion import
Which port does Indian onion cargo enter in Bahrain?
Khalifa Bin Salman Port (KBSP) in Hidd — Bahrain’s main container terminal and the entry point for most commercial food imports.
What onion sizes do you supply to Bahrain?
35 mm+, 45 mm+ and 55 mm+. The 45 mm+ grade is the most common for Bahrain wholesale and food-service channels. Grade is agreed at the time of order; we do not mix grades in a single container.
How long does a shipment from India to Bahrain take now?
Transit is longer than pre-2026 due to Hormuz rerouting. Expect approximately 22–30 days door-to-port depending on feeder availability and Saudi land-bridge scheduling. Your freight forwarder will confirm the transit time at booking.
What is the minimum order for Bahrain?
One 40 ft container, approximately 28 metric tonnes net. We can discuss a smaller trial lot by air if you need to test the grade before committing to a container programme.
Is export duty charged in India on onion shipments?
No. India removed the 20% onion export duty on 1 April 2025, and the minimum export price was scrapped in September 2024. GST on exports is zero-rated. There are no Indian-side export levies on red onions as of today.
Do you send samples before a container order?
Yes. A pre-shipment sample of the exact lot to be loaded is sent before final packing. WhatsApp us with your grade and packing requirement to get started.
