What we need from you

Five lines, and the price comes back today.

A quote without these is guesswork, and a guessed price helps neither of us. Send them in one WhatsApp message if that is quicker.

01

Size grade

25–35 mm, 35–45 mm, 45–55 mm or 55 mm+. If you are not sure, tell us the market and we will advise — Gulf retail usually takes 45 mm+ and 55 mm+.

02

Quantity

In containers or tonnes. One 40ft reefer holds about 28 tonnes and is our minimum. Tell us if this is a trial or a running programme.

03

Discharge port

Useful, not required

Your shipment month, your target price, and whether you want a reefer or a ventilated container. Any of these sharpens the quote.

Questions buyers ask

Straight answers on quoting, terms and containers.

How do I get a quote for red onions in a 40ft container?

Send five things and you get a firm price the same working day: size grade (25–35 mm, 35–45 mm, 45–55 mm or 55 mm+), quantity in containers, your discharge port, packing (mesh bag weight or jute), and whether you want FOB Nhava Sheva or CIF your port. WhatsApp +91 94267 46464 or use the form on this page. One 40ft reefer holds about 28 tonnes, and that is our minimum order.

What does a 40ft container of Indian red onions cost?

Our export-grade buying rate at Nashik is currently ₹49–54 per kg, so the onions in a 28-tonne container come to roughly $16,324–18,004 before grading, packing, inland freight and sea freight. The landed CIF figure depends on your port. Today’s CIF prices by destination are published on our price page and updated every market day.

Do you quote FOB or CIF?

Both. FOB is priced at Nhava Sheva (Mumbai) and you arrange the sea leg. CIF is priced to your discharge port and includes ocean freight and marine insurance. Tell us which you want in your enquiry; if you are new to the lane, CIF is simpler because one number covers everything to your port.

Will you quote a ventilated container instead of a reefer?

Yes — tell us which you want and we will price it. We normally ship red onion in a 40ft reefer held at 0–4 °C, because that protects the skin and holds shelf life on longer Gulf lanes. A ventilated container costs less and is workable on short transits with well-cured stock, but it carries more risk in humid weather. We will quote either and tell you honestly which one suits your port and your shipment month.

Can you quote storage onions rather than fresh crop?

Yes. Stored rabi onion from Nashik is available most of the year and travels well because it is fully cured. Fresh kharif crop from the Pune belt runs roughly November to March. Say which you need, or tell us your arrival window and we will advise which crop suits it.

What is your minimum order?

One 40ft container, about 28 tonnes. We do not ship LCL or part loads. If you want to trial the quality first, ask for a pre-shipment sample and photographs of the graded lot before loading.

What are your payment terms?

30% advance to confirm the booking, and the remaining 70% against a copy of the bill of lading. We quote in USD. Terms on repeat shipments can be discussed once we have shipped together.

How long is a quote valid?

72 hours. Mandi prices and container freight both move week to week, so a quote held open longer than that stops being honest. If the market moves inside those 72 hours, the price we gave you still stands.

Have you actually shipped before?

Yes. Indian customs records published by Volza show 33 export shipments since the firm was registered in 2024 — 30 to Kuwait and 3 to Malaysia, of Indian red onion Grade A+ 55 mm+ under HS 0703. We are a young firm and we would rather you saw the real number from us than found it somewhere else. Our APEDA RCMC, IEC, GST and Udyam registrations are all published on our certifications page so you can verify them independently.
