Variety guide

Indian table-grape varieties buyers can request

These are examples of varieties grown in India, not a claim of current stock. We check the requested variety, grade and destination requirements before quoting.

Coloured seedless

Beauty Seedless, Sharad Seedless, Flame Seedless, Manjri Naveen

Anab-e-Shahi, Dilkhush

Coloured seeded

Bangalore Blue, Gulabi (Muscat)

Variety categories: APEDA Farmer Connect. Confirm the exact lot with our export desk.

For European importers

Check the lot before discussing freight

European buyers need more than a variety name. Send your destination country and written specification first; a proposal follows only after the crop, packhouse and evidence for a particular lot have been checked.

Variety, class and label

State your preferred seedless variety, berry and bunch size, class, retail or wholesale pack, net weight and label language. EU table grapes have a specific marketing standard covering quality, classification and marking. Ask to review the proposed carton artwork and lot photos.

Residue and traceability evidence

Provide your pesticide test panel and any retailer limits. Request the offered lot's residue analysis, farm-to-consignment traceability and relevant GrapeNet records. EU maximum residue levels can change; a generic company certificate does not prove the offered lot passes.

Arrival and documents

Specify the EU entry port, required arrival window and receiving condition. Confirm the applicable plant-health documents, pre-cooling, pack format and reefer plan with your importer before a booking or CIF offer.

Official references: APEDA table-grape export procedures, GrapeNet, EU pesticide MRL database, EU table-grape marketing standard and Access2Markets. Requirements must be checked for the actual shipment and destination.

Fresh fruit specification

What an EU grape buyer should approve before booking

Tell us the variety, destination country, target class, berry size, pack and shipment window. We then check a specific available lot and its documents against your buying specification. No stock or EU compliance is promised until that review is complete.

The UK is a separate destination with its own import rules. Name the receiving country and entry point so we can check the right requirements.

Buyer questions

Product and ordering FAQs

Can you supply Thompson Seedless or Sonaka grapes for the EU?

Ask for the variety, class and shipment window you need. We check current sourcing and a specific lot before confirming availability or suitability.

Are the grapes already approved for EU import?

A product-page listing is not proof of compliance. The importer should review the actual lot, traceability, residue results, plant-health documents and packaging against current EU and destination-country requirements before booking.

What does GrapeNet establish?

APEDA describes GrapeNet as a traceability and certification system for fresh grapes exported from India to the EU. Request the records tied to the offered consignment; company registration alone is not a substitute for lot evidence.

Can you quote CIF Rotterdam or another European port?

Send the destination port, quantity, variety, packaging and requested arrival date. We confirm current freight and lot availability before issuing a dated FOB or CIF offer.
