What a cardamom importer should state
A comparable offer needs a measurable specification. Origin, crop, grade, lot evidence, price and export eligibility must be confirmed before order confirmation.
| Buying detail | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Product and size | Whole green cardamom; target 7–8 mm or another size band; state whether split pods or mixed sizes are unacceptable. |
| Quality and tests | Colour, aroma, moisture, foreign matter, damaged pods, pesticide-residue and microbiological limits required by the buyer and destination. |
| Packing | Moisture-protected 5 kg or 25 kg cartons, inner liner, labels, pallet preference and required shelf-life statement. |
| Quantity and timing | Sample, trial or recurring quantity; air, LCL or container preference; cargo-ready and arrival window. |
| Destination | Country, named airport/port or delivery point, importer documentation and food-authority registration requirement. |
| Export eligibility | Confirm the proposed exporter’s IEC, applicable Spices Board CRES status and destination compliance before promising supply. |
| Trade terms | State requested FOB, CIF or air-cargo basis. Freight, insurance, duties and clearance scope are confirmed in the written offer. |
